What is FOB?
FOB is the car only cost.
What is CIF?
It is the car cost, Insurance and the shipping price together.
How do I know the Freight cost of the vehicle I want?

Your full CIF Invoice will be sent to you automatically by e-mail. Freight cost can vary depending on the vehicle size and destination port.
What payment options are available?
You can make your payment by:

Can I pay by installments?
Yes, you can pay by installment and we can also hold the unit for you if you can remit 50% of your total CIF. Holding period will be two weeks.
If you could not meet the deadline, the unit will be released. You are then requested to make another selection from our available units or we can go out and buy the same unit for you.
Why do I need to pay a bank charge when I'm paying from my end?
Funds are first directed to an Intermediate Bank in the US or other country, then to Japan. The Bank Charge is for the Intermediate Bank.
How long does my payment take to arrive in your account?
Bank transfer and remittance takes about 3 to 5 working days to clear in our Account. Once payment cleared, our Accounts will be sending you a Payment Notification.
What is the quality of your vehicles?
We only deal with vehicles in good mechanical condition.
Depending on age and condition, some vehicles may have some minor scratches on the body. Other than that, all vehicles are in sound mechanical condition.
How long does it take to ship my vehicle from Japan?
Depending on the destination, shipping can take up to 6 weeks.
We need about 2 weeks to prepare the vehicle for shipping. i.e. deregistration in Japan, arrangement of RWI (if required), space booking.
Sailing time depends on how far the destination is from Japan usually it can take 2-4 weeks for the vessel to sail from Japan to the port of destination.

What shipping options are avaliable?
Shipping of the vehicles can be done via container, or RORO (Roll On Roll Off - vehicle will be driven into a car carrier). Depending on the port of discharge and/or clients instruction, either one of the mentioned options can be chosen.
How do I know the shipping information about my vehicle?
Once your payment has cleared in our Account, we will commence shipping.
Our Shipping Department will be sending you the voyage details including Expected Time of Departure (ETD), Expected Time of Arrival (ETA), Vessel Name and Voyage Number.
About 7 days after the ship sailed from Japan, original documents will be sent by a Parcel Service such as DHL or UPS to either yourself, your appointed clearing agent, depending on your instructions. You will also receive document copies by e-mail.
What documents will I be receiving?
a) Bill of Lading (BL)
b) Export Certificate
c) Commercial Invoice
d) RWI Certificate (if required)
e) Additional Documents for vehicle clearing if required by customs
What is RWI? Do I need it?
Road Worthiness Inspection(RWI) JEVIC (Japan Export Vehicle Inspection Center) or JAAI (Japan Auto Appraisal Institute) are special Inspections and Certifications carried out by for vehicles to be imported.
Depending on your country, you may need an inspection certificate to import the vehicle of your choice.
When ordering online, RWI will be added automatically for countries that require inspection in order to import a vehicle. You can find more information about specific import regulations by clicking on this link.
What does the insurance on the Invoice cover?
Insurance that you see on your invoice will cover a total loss of cargo, cost of the vehicle if the vessel sinks, catches fire, or is destroyed totally during transit : http://www.japantradecar.com/shipping.aspx
How do I receive my vehicle at the port?
If you are using a clearing agent, they will get in touch with you before the vehicle arrives at the port for pick-up arrangements, clearing cost and further guidance. If you are clearing the vehicle yourself, you can start the necessary clearing arrangements once you received all your documents. We recommend you to use a clearing agent to arrange clearing at the port and to be used as consignee on the documents.
Can I order a vehicle not on your stock list?
Yes! Please let us know the complete specification of desired vehicle like make, model, year, transmission, mileage, color so we can quote an estimate cost and work on sourcing for you.

Do you have Left Hand Drive Vehicles?
Japan is a Right Hand Drive country. Sourcing a LHD is generally possible. however it may take a considerable amount of time. LHD vehicles is generally more expensive than RHD cars.
LHD Vehicles available on auctions are usually European, American or Japanese makes manufactured outside of Japan. Write us what you need and we will look into it.
